We at the Loris gallery are delighted to invite you to our annual summer exhibition diamonds & pearls. For two weeks we will present new editions and selected artist books by the Loris artists.

Beyond great gestures diamonds & pearls assembles small treasures in varied shape: endlessly entangled branches, uninformed architecture and poetry, assemblies, codes and informational transparencies, layered drawings of contagious memories, undocumented and magnetic urban spaces.

Waiting for discovery are loose sheets, book dummies, and experimental photography, that altogether open spaces for the unforeseen; openmindedness comes into fore. In mingling plural topics, methods, and objects a stage of in-between becomes the space for encounters and occurences. A sofa will be put up in the gallery and you are allowed to touch, leaf through, and handle that which is much too often left in the drawer. To speak with Ernst Bloch: One is to watch especially the small things, follow them up. What is light and strange often leads the furthest (according to popular lore).

The individual works can be seen on our website.
